What you'll do
- Assess source databases and migration options
- Convert schemas and code between engines
- Migrate, validate and reconcile data
- Plan and rehearse cutover
- Tune performance on the target platform
What you bring
- Hands-on experience delivering database migrations between engines or to the cloud
- Two or more engines among Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2, MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Schema, stored-procedure and SQL dialect conversion
- Migration tooling such as AWS DMS and SCT, Azure Database Migration Service, Ora2Pg or SSMA
- Data validation and reconciliation techniques
- Python or shell scripting and Linux
